This is my version of The Masters Egg Salad Sandwich, or the Kissin’ Cousin of The Masters Egg Salad Sandwich!

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, shells removed
  • 1/3 cup or slightly more, to taste, of Duke’s Mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon yellow mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

Chop the eggs in a large bowl until just slightly chunky. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.

Serve on white bread.

I have made this for David, and he says it tastes the closest to the egg salad sandwiches served at The Masters.  I can’t even count how many he had there, so I consider him an expert! I am not a fan, so I indulged in their pimento cheese. They are famous for these sandwiches there, and the most amazing thing is the prices which they are known for too, $1.50 per sandwich.

If you are a pimento cheese fan, we have a simple mix at Hermann Emporium that just came in from The Resident Chef called “cheese pimento.” It is an awesome dip to serve with chips, veggies and crackers, but it is wonderful as a spread on sandwiches or burgers. I really enjoy the addition of shredded cheese.

No matter what you serve for The Masters, or if you even like golf, it is a lovely excuse to bring family and friends together.

Happy cooking!
