Using Red, White & Blue During and After the Summer Holidays
As spring fades into summer and the days get longer, I love using patriotic hues in my home decor. The classic color combination of red, white, and blue is especially appropriate at this time of year with Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day all taking place over the summer months.
Barbecues, lake weekends, warm evening soirees–it’s time for summer! As you prepare for summer, you can introduce accessories that really play up the Stars & Stripes. Pillows, blankets, banners, and tea towels make for quick and easy additions.
This lovely plaid I chose for the base of our place setting doesn’t scream Memorial Day–it’s something that could be used all summer long.
